Dog Gone Blog: "Tour Report" Greek Theatre Review
Night three was perhaps the most fluid of the three shows, combining both compositions with heavy jams. The first set contained standout versions of both “Reba” and “46 Days”. The second set contained yet another highlight of 2010 in a cosmically infused version of “Light”. The band’s ability to weave together sections of dark and dangerous energy with expressions of joyful triumph is simply beyond in this rendition. The second set also included a masterfully executed “Hood” that features Red prancing around the neck of “Ocelot” (the guitar). Placing a capstone on the three night run, the band busted out “Lizards” in the encore spot(!) followed by a rock solid rendition of “First Tube”.

Phish Telluride Preview
After a day off rest, Phish returns to the stage tonight in Telluride, CO for the first of two of the most highly anticipated shows of the summer. For most of us going or not, Telluride has been circled on our calenders for months. With the blissful scenery and the fifteen year anniversary of Jerry Garcia's death landing on night one. It's hard not to imagine some sort of tribute as they did in '98 on the third anniversary with a "Terrapin Station" encore. Trey also made a nod to Jerry on the 10 year anniversary with an acoustic solo rendition of "Ripple" in Indianapolis, IN. Regardless of any type of tribute with the playing witnessed at The Greek over the weekend these shows will be special.
Phish last appearance in Telluride was nineteen years ago with a two-night stand at the Elk Ballroom, Oct 27th and the 28th. Let's take a look:

Monday, 10/28/1991 Elk Ballroom, Telluride, CO
Set 1: The Curtain > Runaway Jim, Cavern, Poor Heart, Reba, I Didn't Know, Tube, The Oh Kee Pa Ceremony > Foam, Fee -> David Bowie

Encore: Horn, Rocky Top
Notes: Whipping Post (first since September 21, 1990, or 149 shows) featured Fishman’s hilariously inept debut on fretless guitar. The Bowie intro two Charlie Chan signals as well as Oom Pa Pa and Simpsons signals. Harpua included On Top of Old Smokey teases from Mike. The lyrics to Gin were altered to reference a hot tub, referencing some friends who had partied at the hotel hot tub earlier that day
