CashorTrade.org: "The Solution"

Earlier this week we posted CashorTrade.org's "What is Fair?" press release and poll regarding ticket prices and ticket trading within the community. This morning Brando and Dusty sent me "The Solution" offering a response to the copious amount of feedback they received this week.

The Solution!

CashorTrade.org is a ticket trading website that helps fans obtain tickets at Face Value.
CashorTrade.org is FREE to use, and there are NO TRANSACTION FEES!

We would like to thank everyone for the tremendous support and passion towards a face value community. We received over 750 responses to our “What is fair?” survey and hundreds of inquiries via email and internet posts. More and more are coming in as we speak. We have diligently been reading through everyone’s comments and have closely been analyzing the survey results. Again, we thank you for your detailed discussions about this complex market analysis that includes us all.

Results
Roughly two-thirds of the market feels offering 2 tickets for 1 ticket is NOT a fair trade. At the same time, two-thirds of the market feels that offering 1 ticket plus a creative trade is a fair trade.

The Solution
We are putting the final touches on a new Face Value incentive program that will be integrated in the 4.0 version of CashorTrade.org soon to be released. Members will be graciously rewarded for offering face value, 1 for 1, “buy now” or “trade” options. We have developed a merit system where members can gain status through their honest participation creating strong complete profiles. Members can increase their exposure and validity by remaining true to our fair, face value policy…and will be rewarded for doing so. Members will be able to gain a verified status, and will be provided with indicators to help select true fair trade members with whom to buy, sell, and trade. Tools will be available to filter those who have strong profiles and participation and who are offering fair, creative trades.

The Market
The results show that 1/3 of the community feels it is important to offer 2 for 1 trades. Many feel it is important to have this option as some events are valued higher than others, and that the free market can not be regulated. In a deep analysis of free market economics, they are right. The only way we could fully regulate this is if we were the only website out there where people can buy aftermarket tickets. If fans have tickets that they can not get rid of because the market value deems them less valuable, then offering 1 for 2 trades, or vise versa, may be their only option, to not only help get the tickets they want, but to even get rid of the ones they have. If CashorTrade.org did not allow these fans to use our site for such trades, they will easily go elsewhere…and in return…directly modify the market value of the event whether it be inflating or deflating the original price. This helps no one. Under the new system, CashorTrade.org will allow such trades, yet will not quite reward these posts in any manner. Instead these members will be encouraged with many tools to make more fair trades and use creative options instead of a 2 for 1 post. In some cases these types of trades may be flagged (not for removal) but for limited exposure.

The Other Guys
We have seen other auction and point based incentive programs in the past. Many of these only reward members with a high volume of ticket sales. This in turn creates a ticket scalping playground for brokers and scalpers alike. Offering an unregulated “buy now” option provides scalpers the ability to easily purchase high volumes of tickets that can then be resold at inflated costs.

Our Community
We offer A COMMUNITY. With our new tools and filtering programs, you will have the option to better trade with friends, family and others who are involved in the same community, and who are well trusted and respected. With over 6,500 members and 12,500 trades, we are THE ticket trading community. Help us, help you, help each other. Together lets set the rules in which we play and encourage others to share in this passion too.

Thank you!
CashorTrade.org appreciates all for participating in such a close, tight knit community for fair trade and face value options. Please check back for the 4.0 update, and the many new features discussed herein. In the meantime, visit the site and develop your profile to help build trust and strengthen your ability to buy, sell, and trade tickets and products on the site. Visit: http://cashortrade.org/trust/ for how to build your profile and better encourage trades.

Thanks
Dusty and Brando
