According to Spinner, The National's bassist Scott Devendorf, spoke of a Grateful Dead tribute album in the works this past weekend at Coachella. The project, said to be in its very early stages, would focus on an eclectic group of bands rather than typical Jamband alum. Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver, and Crystal Castles were all mentioned in the article. The National is said to be favoring the Phil Lesh original "Box of Rain" for the project.
