Daily Audio: Umphrey's McGee "Abacab" 4.20.11 Stubb's BBQ ~ Austin, TX

Midwest prog-rockers, Umphrey's McGee, kicked off their four-date April tour last week on every stoner's favorite day with a gig at Stubb's BBQ. Today's audio nugget is plucked directly from the second set of that show, with UM's take on the Genesis original, Abacab. Taking the original structure and stamping their own blend of uniqueness on it; this version features a mind-altering "industrial" section in the middle before peaking back out on the Abacab theme. Umphrey's next show is at Knoxville, Tennesee's "Sundown In The City" on May 19th, 2011.

Today's Random Fact: During an on-air discussion about the song, Artie Lange of The Howard Stern Show stated that when he was in high school he would sometimes use "A,B,A,C,A,B" to select answers on multiple choice exams. He claims to have usually got "about half of them right" by using this method. (source: Wikipedia)
